Laurel Springs School was honored to celebrate 25 years of partnership on-site with the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) at their 2026 Gala Champions Celebration. Our Head of School, Alyssa Tormala, had the privilege of presenting the inaugural Partner Educator of the Year Award to JTCC's Director of School, Mark Santangelo, a true pioneer of hybrid education. Congratulations to all of the evening's honorees, including Ray Benton, Denis Kudla (LSS Class of 2010), Student of the Year Yared Alfred, Alumni of the Year Tyler Delaney, and Community Member of the Year Larry Hilliard.

The Directors Club of America Retreat 2026 at Boca West Country Club was an incredible opportunity to connect with racquets and hospitality industry leaders in a professional setting. When you have 300 leaders together for three days of connection and education, with the result being a culture of sharing, free flowing ideas, development and collaboration, it’s beyond special. Gratitude to every DCA member that took the time to meet and share time and wisdom. Laurel Springs will absolutely see you next year!

Jack Dempsey from our partnerships team was on-site with the Southern California PGA Junior Tour at the SCPGA Players Tour Spring Junior Championships in Palm Springs, where 108 junior golfers competed across two challenging days of play.

Strong winds on Day 1 tested players’ resilience and adaptability, while calmer conditions on Day 2 brought great energy from athletes and families alike. It was inspiring to watch these student-athletes stay focused and adjust under pressure throughout the tournament.

We are grateful for our ongoing partnership with the SCPGA and extend special thanks to their team for their hospitality, dedication, and commitment to creating bright futures for junior golfers and our Laurel Springs athletes!

Laurel Springs recently supported students competing at the Little Mo East Regionals, an event that brings together young athletes, families, and a shared love of tennis. From exciting first matches to new friendships, the tournament captured the energy and community that make Little Mo events so special.

We were thrilled to celebrate Laurel Springs students Athira Sharad, Rylee Jackson, and Mason Kaminski, who each earned a win in their opening matches. We were especially excited to see Mason recognized with the Sportsmanship Award, reflecting the positivity and character encouraged throughout the Little Mo community!

They discussed how Laurel Springs supports elite and NCAA-bound athletes, as well as performing artists and families navigating corporate relocation.
